CRIMSON HARRIERS MEET HOLY CROSS TEAM TODAY

First Contest of Season Leads Men Over "Flat Course" Along River -- Large Squads to Compete

The University cross country team will open its season against the Holy Cross harriers at 1 o'clock this afternoon. Only five places will count for each team, but both coaches have entered a large group in the race.

Harvard will enter the following runners B. F. Esies '32 Arthur Foote '33, R. P. Wesley '33 R. P. Murphy '33, Sturtevant Burr '31 Lawrence Davis '32 Merrian Wheelwright '32, R. B. Beaman '33, F. R. Flynn '32 F. I. Steele '33.

The Holy Cross entry list is W. Madden '31, (captain) W. Maher '31, A. Auth '31, M. Broderick '31, W. O'Connell '32, I. Parent '32, G. Wheldon '32, B. McCafferty '32; J. Holland '32, K. Cunco '33, M. Blake '33, G. Sullivan '33; J. Clark '33, J. Goeff '33.

The meet will be held on the four and one half mile Charles River track known as the "flat course" it follows the river around from the have Anderson bridge, crosses over at the Water town bridge, and comes back down the other bank.
