COOLIDGE ELECTED TO PRESIDENCY OF HARVARD ALUMNI

Charles Allerton Coolidge '81, of Boston, has been chosen president of the Harvard Alumni Association for the current year, to succeed J. Pierpont Morgan '89, of New York City, according to an announcement made public today. Nathan Hayward '95, A. G. Thacher '97, and H. C. Clark '11 also have been made officers of the Association.

Coolidge College Architect

Coolidge is a member of the firm of Coolidge, Shepley, Bulfinch, and Abbott, Boston architects. The seven new Harvard Houses, the Freshman dormitories, and the Harvard Medical School buildings are all the work of Coolidge. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of Harvard College, and is now serving his second term in that capacity.

Clark Re-elected

Hayward and Thacher were chosen vice presidents while Clark was reelected to the offices of general secretary and treasurer. Hayward was president of the Associated Harvard Clubs in 1929-30 and has been a director of the Alumni Association since 1929. Thacher, a lawyer, has served as a member of the Overseers Committee to visit the Departments of History and Military Science. Clark is treasurer of the Harvard Alumni Bulletin and secretary of the Harvard Endowment Fund.

These elections took place at the annual October meeting of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association.
