NOR'EASTER SENDS SQUAD INTO CAGE

Entire Squad, Weakened by Injuries, Leaves West Point Today--Team to be Quartered at Belmont

A cold and driving nor'easter kept Harvard's football squad from going outside yesterday but did not keep the men from practicing. Inside the Briggs baseball cage the coaches worked with the team in a light but lengthy workout, stressing defense against Army plays.

Work on assignments, line drills, and a long signal drill with the emphasis on passing plays took up the first part of the afternoon before Coach Knox brought in his seconds to demonstrate some of the plays that the Cadets will use in the game Saturday. There was no contact work against the seconds except the little that always takes place in a dummy scrimmage.

Team A lined up with Harding and Moushegian at the ends, Richards and Upton at the tackles, Myerson and Bancroft at the guards and Captain Ticknor at center. The backfield had Wood at quarter, Mays and Crickard alternating at right half, Schereschewsky at left half, and White at full back. Ex- cept for possible changes in all the positions on the right side of the line the above seems like the lineup that will start on Saturday.

Bancroft was at right guard for the second day in succession with Trainer still viewing the practice in civilian clothes. Trainer, however, has been declared fit to play by the coaches and will in all probability start at his regular guard post. Upton was the third man within as many days to be on Team A at right tackle, making this position as wide open as ever. Trafford occupied the place on Monday and Kuehn on Tuesday with Kales, regular occupant, still being on the injury list and having no definite word as to whether or not he can play. If Kales is able to play he will undoubtedly get the starting call, although yesterday was his first appearance on the field in ten days; otherwise it seems that Trafford has the edge.

With Ogden still on the injured list and probably out of the game Moushegian has been taking care of the right end post and the chances are that he will be there Saturday. The backfield seems complete with Schereschewsky taking Devens' place at the one half, White returning to fullback, Wood remaining at quarter, and either Mays or Crickard getting the call at the other half.

Columbia University's squad, on route to Hanover to play Dartmouth on Saturday, will stop over in Cambridge tomorrow long enough to workout on Soldiers Field in the morning. The Nittany Lions will proceed north in the afternoon
