The vacancy in the Harvard baseball coaching staff has been filled by the appointment of Harold Janvrin as coach of the second University baseball team, it was announced yesterday by Director of Athletics W. J. Bingham '16.

This appointment completes the Harvard coaching staff for the 1930 season; Fred Mitchell will coach the University team while Claude Davidson will be in charge of the Freshman nine this spring.

Janvrin has been in the big leagues for many years. At the time when the Boston Red Sox were the leaders in the American League, he played second base, and was later a member of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Brooklyn Dodgers.
