Keep Slate Clean by 5-4 Victory Over Blue Netmen

The Freshman tennis team kept their slate clean and ended up their season by a close victory over the Eli netmen, 5 matches to 4. Practically all of the contests were close, four of them going to three sets, the comeback of Captain D. M. Frame '32 and Edward Orlandini '32 to capture the first doubles match from Harte and Warner of Yale, 1-6, 6-4, 6-5, exhibiting especially brilliant playing. The matches were played on the Divinity Courts.

Singles D. M. Frame '32 defeated Harte (Y), 6-1, 9-7; Bascom (Y) defeated Mark Woodbury '32, 6-0, 6-1; Warner (Y) defeated W. A. Beyer '32, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1; Stanton (Y) defeated C. N. Townsend '32, 6-3, 6-3; C. Y. Wadsworth '32 defeated Clayton (Y), 6-2, 9-7; Ellery Sedgwick '32 defeated Gatewood (Y), 7-5, 4-6, 10-8.

Doubles Frame and Edward Orlandini '32 defeated Harte and Warner (Y), 1-0, 6-4, 8-6; Bascom and Eddy (Y) defeated A. S. Armstrong '32 and Wadsworth, 5-7, 6-4, 7-5; Woodbury and G. B. Ray '32 defeated Smyth and Stanton (Y), 6-3, 6-4.
