NEW BOATHOUSE AT RED TOP PRESENTED BY MRS. BACON

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Mrs. E. C. Bacon has given the new Harvard boat house at Red Top in memory of her husband, E. C. Bacon '10, a former Harvard crew man, it was announced yesterday by W. J. Bingham '16, Director of Athletics. While at Harvard, Mr. Bacon, rowed against Yale for three years, in 1908, 1909, and 1910.

With Mrs. Bacon's gift, the $200,000 project for a group of new buildings at Red Top gets well under way. Sufficient funds to build quarters for the University team have already been received, and this building is to be completed before June this year. New Freshman quarters, coaches' and doctors' accommodations, and a dining hall will be constructed as soon as the necessary funds are available.

The boathouse, the construction of which is made possible through Mrs. Bacon's generosity, will not be finished before 1930.
