The University fencers triumphed over Bowdoin 9 to 4 last Saturday in the Hemenway Gymnasium. The latter failed to bring a sabre team and the match was limited to foils and epee.

The foils proved to be the winning factor for Harvard who took seven out of the nine bouts in this event. Bowdoin performed equally as well in the epee, each team winning two bouts.

This week, the University swordsmen will see action against Boston University and Yale. Much will depend on the outcome of these two matches.
