Two new officers, created at the expense of five or more of the existing offices, form a major part of a reorganization of the Harvard Athletic Association made public last night. The new organization will become effective July 1.
William J. Bingham '16, Director of Athletics, will of course, remain director of the H. A. A. H. W. Clark '23, has been appointed assistant director of the H. A. A., one of the new positions, while C. F. Getchell will hold the other new office, that of general manager. Clark was formerly assistant graduate treasurer of the H. A. A. while Getchell was in charge of the sale of tickets to all the various athletic events held under the auspices of the H. A. A.
The financial management of the H. A. A. will be taken over by the Bursar's Office, thus abolishing the position of graduate treasurer of the H. A. A., at present held by H. S. Thompson '99.
Other officials who will lose their present positions by the reorganization are Charles Hart, purchasing agent and Charles Sprague chief accountant. These changes will become effective on the first on next month.
Howard Parker, the business manager of the H. A. A., will give up his office on December 1, next winter, after the transition from the present system to the new has been completed.
