ELIS CHOOSE BRANDENBURG TO LEAD BLUE TRACK TEAM

New Haven, Conn., May 31 John Asher Brandenburg of Pineville, Kentucky, a junior in the Sheffield Scientific School, has been elected captain of the Yale track team for next season.

Brandenburg is a consistent performer in the broadjump, and discus, and took third and second in these events against Harvard two weeks ago. He competed in the javelin event also but failed to place. Brandenburg is, in addition to being a track luminary, a football star, playing in the backfield.

He prepared at Phillips Exeter Academy where he starred on the football and track teams. In his last year at Exeter, he captained the schoolboy trackmen.
