Approximately 150 candidates for the University and Freshman track--teams reported to Coach E. L. Farrell at the initial meeting of the year yesterday afternoon at the Locker Building. Besides the 15 lettermen from last year's outfit about 75 University aspirants were on hand. Although 107 Freshmen have signed up for track, only 60 were present yesterday.

Practice for the outdoor season started immediately after the meeting with the distance men jogging down the cross country course to the Watertown bridge, and the dash men working out with Coaches Farrell and W. F. Lewis on the Freshman track. Practice will continue all this week in preparation for the triangular games to be staged at Williams burg. Virginia, with William and Mary and the University of Maryland on April 14.
