The Gamma chapter of Tau Beta Pi, the honorary society of the Engineering School, announced last night the election of six members of the Faculty of the School to its membership. The new members are Professors C. A. Adams, G. '92, H. E. Clifford '89, H. N. Davis, G. '02, L. J. Johnson '87, L. S. Marks, and Albert Sauveur.
The purpose of the Tau Beta Pi is "to mark in a fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater by a high grade of scholarship as undergraduates, or by their attainments as alumni; and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in the Engineering Schools of America."
The spring initiation of the society will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 5 o'clock, in the Harvard Union, and will be followed by a dinner.
