McGRATH CHOSEN TO LEAD FRESHMAN BALL PLAYERS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Edward Henry McGrath '31, of Brookline, was elected captain of the Freshman baseball team at a meeting of its members yesterday afternoon.

McGrath prepared for college at Brookline High School where he was captain and star shortstop of the 1927 team. He led his team in many departments of play and gained a reputation on the all-scholastic team by an unanimous vote of the coaches.

So far this season McGrath has held down the shortstop position on the 1931 aggregation.

Besides being a baseball player, McGrath is a sprinter of no mean ability. He starred in the short runs both at school and in the 1931 winter campaign.
