A first edition of William Congreve's famous comedy. "The Way of the World," now being played at the Repertory Theatre in Boston, is on exhibition in the Widener Memorial Room. The edition was published in 1700, and is from Frederick Locker Sampeon's collection. On the title page them appears the inscription "As it is acted at the Theatre in Lincoln's Inn-Fields, by His Majesty's Servants."
