E. G. Chandler 2L. was recently selected to go to Augusta, Georgia, where he will compete in the tennis trials for the Davis Cup team, which begin Monday.
Coach Harry Cowles, speaking of Chandler's chances, said, "If Chandler had been practicing seriously since winning the intercollegiate championship in 1926, there would be no question as to his winning a position on the team. As it is, although he has had but very little tournament play during the past year, he will be a very strong contender. I look for him to win a place on the team."
Last year Chandler was asked to compete in these trials, but because of his work in the Law School and his desire to finish his course in military training he decided not to compete.
