Twelve men have been retained for the triangular debate with Yale and Princeton on Saturday, March 24, as a result of trials for the University debating team held yesterday afternoon. The debaters who will work on the affirmative side of the question: "Resolved, That this house favors the governmental policies of Mussolini" are: Jackson Hurd '30, V. K. Kwong '29, A. L. Raffa, ocC., J. N. Stensland '28, J. M. Swigert '30, and Norman Winer '29.
The six debaters from whom the negative team will be chosen are: C. C. Alpern '28, R. F. Courtney '29, Brooks Otis '29, A. F. Reel '28, D. E. Scoll '28, and R. C. Weaver '29. L. T. Grimm '29, Jacques Herling '28, A. D. Howlett Jr. ocC.; Saul Rosenzweig '29, and S. G. Silverman '30 will also work on the case. Every man retained must turn over to his coach before tomorrow afternoon a brief containing an outline of three speeches arguing whichever side of the case he plans to uphold.
