West Point Fencing Team Triumphant by a Score of 11 to 6

The University fencing team was defeated by the Army swordsmen at West Point Saturday by a score of 11 to 6, in its first intercollegiate meet this year. The cadets won the matches in all three weapons, foils, sabers, and epee.

The summary of the matches follows:

Foils: Breckinridge (Army) defeated C.B. Hollister '29, 5-4, and D.I. Modell '30, 5-1. M.R. Berliner '28 defeated Breckinridge (Army), 5-4. Brownlee (Army) defeated C.B. Hollister '29, 5-3, and M.R. Berliner '28, 5-4. D.I. Modell '30 defeated Browniee (Army), 5-0. Quill (Army) defeated C.B. Hollister '29, 5-4. M.R. Berliner '28 defeated Quill (Army), 5-3. D.I. Modell '30 defeated Quill (Army) 5-4.

Sabers: M.R. Berliner '28 defeated Kunzig (Army), 5-3. Geddings (Army) defeated M.R. Berliner '28, 5-2, and D.I. Modell '30, 5-1. Kunzig (Army) defeated G.L. Church '29, 5-1.

Epee: Wehle (Army) defeated M.R. Berliner '28, 1-0, and D.I. Modell '30, 1-0. D.I. Modell '30 defeated Mitchell (Army), 1-0. Mitchell (Army) defeated M.R. Berliner '28, 1-0.
