HARVARD RESERVES TO TACKLE LEHIGH

The Crimson substitutes meet their first real test of the season when they line up against a Lehigh eleven this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The team will be under the direction of Line Coach Dunne in the absence of Head Coach Horween who has seized the opportunity to travel to Chicago to scout Pennsylvania, Harvard's opponent a week from today.

Today's game will be important as showing the true worth of the reserve material. Three hard games remain on the Crimson schedule and it is unlikely that the first string men lean carry the entire weight of the burden without material aid.

The visiting aggregation has had father rough going so far this season, but it is beginning to find itself and spectators in the Stadium today may expect to see a hard-hitting, fighting game of football. The main weakness of the Lehigh eleven, revealed in the five encounters it has played so far this season, is its inability to cope with a forward passing attack. The University forces have spend considerable time on their aerial offensive during this past week and it is more than likely that Harvard will use this opportunity to practice this department of the game, especially as the opposing forward wall is far from light.

With the exception of a severe set-back at the hands of a strong Prince ton eleven, the Engineers have had a reasonably good record. The first two encounters went to Lehigh by 14 to 7 scores, with both St. John's College and the Pennsylvania Military College on the short end of the count. A fairly powerful Gettysburg combination next eked out a 7 to 0 win. Then came the Orange and Black debacle, but last Saturday there were marked signs of a Lehigh resorgimento when the team from Bethlehem triumphed over Muhienberg by 13 to 7.

Both teams held very short workouts in the Stadium yesterday afternoon, the Crimson limiting its activities to a 20 minute signal drill.
