Vehicles crossing the Charles River during the present week will not be able to use the Larz Anderson bridge, for it will be closed for repairs, it has just been made known. If progress continues as planned the roadway will again be open for traffic in time for the Holy Cross football game in the Stadium Saturday.
It is understood that the roadbed of the bridge will be reconditioned and resurfaced, transforming the present rough street into a smooth roadway. Officials of the public works department announce that the bridge during the time of repairing will be closed to vehicle traffic only; the closing does not effect pedestrians.
