NORMAN THOMAS REMARKS TO THE CRIMSON

By Norman Thomas

"I am very hopeful because of the new interest in politics which men and women of our colleges are taking. The task of Socialism in America and in the world, is to build a party which will seek to control the necessities of our common life for the common good. We can use government in the service of the worker with hand and brain, to bring to us all plenty of peace and freedom. That will never be done by two parties belonging to the same set of interests. To correct this dangerous, undemocratic situation, is a challenge to your generation."
