COLLECTIONS--and--CRITIQUES

The following exhibits of interest to members of the University are on display at present.

The Fogg Art Museum opened a new display last Saturday, the most interesting paintings being a collection of watercolors by Homer and Sargent. A valuable Sixteenth Century tapestry depicting Hercules against a verdure background, the gift of Augustus Hemenway '75, has been hung in the great hall. This tapestry is particularly good in design and distinct in color.

Treasure Room Exhibits.

In the Treasure Room of Widener Library may be seen Shakespeare quartos, autograph letters of presidents of the United States, author's manuscripts, and some illuminated parchment and vellum manuscripts dating from the Twelfth Century.

The Widener Room has an exhibit of great interest to the bibliophile: The first editions in the original board-covers of "Robinson Crusoe," "Gulliver's Travels," and "The Vicar of Wakefield."
