WORK FOR SUMMER OUTLINED BY DALY

Students Interested in Securing Positions for Summer Invited to Call at Employment Office

In accordance with his policy of providing employment for students in the University the whole year through, W. W. Daly '14, Secretary for Student Employment, has announced his plans for securing lucrative positions for men wishing them for the coming summer. The list of opportunities embraces many fields, including such positions as life guards, companions, and tutors.

In a statement to the CRIMSON, Daly states that "Any members of the University who are interested in securing employment for the coming summer are invited to call at the Student Employment Office in University Hall and register. The opportunities for Summer employment are both numerous and varied. As in years past we expect to have calls for men to serve as tutor-companions, tutors, camp councillors, caretakers, physical directors, life-guards, boatmen, salesmen, chauffeurs, guides, and in many other capacities, including business lines.

"In the past it has usually developed that four men out of five have indicated a desire for tutoring or tutor-companion work. The number of these jobs is necessarily limited and all men are not actually qualified for this type of work.

"During the past few weeks the office has made every effort possible to secure a maximum number of summer jobs, through direct mail advertising and soliciting of the summer hotels, camps, and business houses in New England and New York. As the summer positions begin to come in, the staff will be glad to explain opportunities to any men who are interested."
