September 27. A. Lawrence Lowell '77, President of Harvard University.

September 28. Clifford Herschel Moore '89, Pope Professor of Latin and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

September 29. William Ernest Hocking '01, Alford Professor of Natural Religion, Moral Philosophy and Civil Polity.

September 30. William Bennett Munro, Jonathan Trumbell Professor of American History and Government.
