The University tennis team beat the Oakley Country Club 6-4 on Saturday in a close match.

Perkins defeated J. F. Whitbeck, 6-3, 6-3; Vickeray (O) defeated L. H. Gordon '27, 6-2, 8-6; Bray (O) defeated P. N> Lenhart '27, 6-4, 6-3; B. H> Whitbeck '29 defeated Wellington (O), 6-4, 10-12, 6-1; J. H. Appleton '29 defeated Carlton (O), 4-6, 6-1, 6-1; Stephen Thompson '27, defeated Drinkwater (O), 6-1, 6-2.

In the doubles: Whitbeck and Gordon (O) defeated Williams and Perkens (O), 5-7, 6-3, 8-6; Chase and Vickeray (O) defeated Lenhart and Appleton 6-4, 4-6, 6-4; Murphy and Bray defeated B. Whitbeck and Kingsbury, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1.

The University second tennis team defeated the Weston Club at the LOngwood Cricket Club, Chestnut Hill, Saturday afternoon by a score of 7 to 1 and the Freshman tennis team defeated Dean Academy 6-0. Hill, Ward, Ingraham, Trask, Ware and Cross played on the first year team.
