Albert Sauveur, Gordon McKay Professor of Metallurgy and Metallography has been made a member of the National Academy of Sciences it was announced last night.
This organization, which is probably the most eminent group of scientists in this country, has a definite number of life members and appointments are made only on the death of a member.
When interviewed last night Professor Sauveur stated that he did not feel that his appointment came as the result of any special piece of research work that he has been conducting in the last few years in metallurgy and metallograhpy but more as a result of his general activity in this field.
