The Jacob Wertheim Research Fellowship for the betterment of industrial relations has been awarded to Johnson O'Connor '13, and the William O. Mosely Jr. Travelling Fellowships for next year are to be held by Dr. J. C. White '17, and Dr. H. F. Norton, it was learned last night.
O'Conner, has, for a number of years been on the staff of the General Electric Company developing a system of personal investigation and adjustment. With the cooperation of the company, he will carry further his study of this stage of industrial relations.
Dr. White and Dr. Newton will carry on research study in surgery in Europe. The former graduated from the Medical School in 1923, where he is now teaching as an assistant in surgery; the latter is a graduate of Yale in the class of 1916, and of the Harvard Medical School in 1920. He is also teaching there at present.
