TO CONSULT FOES ON SCOUTING PACT

The adoption of a no-scouting agreement by Harvard and the other colleges on its 1927 football schedule similar to the one established with Yale on Monday has been made conditional on the decision of these other colleges by the action of the Harvard Committee on the Regulation of Athletic sports. The Committee in its meeting Monday evening authorized Director of Athletics W. J. Bingham '16 to ascertain the wishes of all the University's 1927 gridiron opponents on the question of a scouting arangement and to offer to enter into the same agreement with them as that already formulated with Yale.

At the same time, the Committee approved the action of Bingham in agreeing to Yale's proposal on the scouting matter and also ratified, the new plan low the selection of football officials by one man unconnected in any way with either University. Next year's wrestling, polo, and Freshman cross country schedules were also approved.

1928 Gridiron List Announced.

It was also announced yesterday by the Harvard Athletic Association that the 1928 football schedule including games with Lehigh and West point and with the Holy cross game shifted to fill the date hitherto occupied by Brown has been definitely arranged. The shake-up in the opponents which the University eleven is to face, Holy Cross and Yale being the only 1926 foes to appear on the 1928 list is in accordance with the policy announced last fall of playing all colleges besides Yale at suitable intervals rather than year after year in uninterupted succession. The most important change effected in the 1928 schedule after the arrangement of games with West Point and Lehigh followed conferences with the athletic directors of Holy Cross and Brown and resulted in the dropping of the latter from the schedule and the shifting of the Holy Cross date to November 17, as week before the Yale encounter. The Schedule with only one date still open follows:

Oct. 6--Springfield College.

Oct. 13--Open.

Oct. 20--West Point.

Oct. 27--Dartmouth.

Nov. 3--Lehigh.

Nov. 10--Penn.

Nov. 17--Holy Cross.
