HARVARD FUND BREAKS ALL PREVIOUS RECORDS

Number of Contributors and Amount Subscribed Exceeds All Marks--661 Men Gave Last Week

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Harvard Fund last week set for itself a new high record both in number of contributors and in the total amount subscribed. During the week 661 men gave $19,557.75.

This subscription is a significant increase over the previous, and first, week when the initial appeals were sent out by the class agents. In that week 472 men gave $16,488.50. In point of amount, the new figure is almost double that of the best week which the Fund enjoyed last year. A fact considered by the Council to be of particular importance and encouragement is that nearly 30 per cent, of this year's contributors are men who have not given to the Fund before. The increase of subscribers among former members of the Graduate Schools has been approximately proportional to the increase among the alumni of the College.

A comparison of this year's figures with these of 1926 shows clearly the present advance:   Total  Total Date  Contributors  Amount March 26, 1927  1,192  $41,401.25 April 4, 1926  431  29,484.50 June 30, 1926  3,096  $16,731.14
