HIGH LIFE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harvard can at least be grateful that the new edifice to be constructed on De Wolfe Street between Bow and Mt. Auburn Street is not a hotel or a pork packery, but a dormitory de luxe, even De Mille.

The CRIMSON cannot too strongly urge, however, that the building be limited at least to four stories. Just as a matter of architectural propriety it is as hard to make an eight story colonial as it is to rate Memorial Hall gothic. Furthermore, the tower of St. Paul's Church is too fine a sight to be obscsared by any building, however lovely.

As to the return to the ancient traditions of the Gold Coast, liveried servants on tap, of cetera, there is little to say but that if there is to be a Harvard bloc in Hollywood, our boys must be prepared for a life of extravagant luxury now, or they will never gain entrance to film land's exclusive circles. From next September on it can never be said that Harvard undergraduates are not prepared for real high life.
