As a decided innovation in the schedule of History 1, it was announced last night by Professor R. B. Merriman that Dr. A. T. Davison '06, Director of the University Glee Club, will deliver a lecture on Beethoven, on April 1.
Previous to this time the only interruptions that have occurred in Professor Merriman's lectures, have been occasional lantern slide lectures.
Dr. Davison's lecture, and the break in the general routine of History 1 is brought about by the fact that 1927, is the year of Beethoven's centennial. The Beethoven centenary festival activities are being celebrated in Boston and vicinity from March 22 until March 27, and since at this time Professor Merriman will be covering Beethoven's period in history the lecture will be appropriate.
