HUGE THEATRE CURTAIN PORTRAYS WASHINGTON

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A curtain painting, representing Washington taking command of the Continental Army on Cambridge Common, has just been installed in the University Theatre.

The curtain is an original oil painting by Claxton Byron Moulton, and is in effect a huge tapestry, measuring 33 feet in width by 17 feet in height.

The artist spent several months in extensive study of the subject and the painting besides being of interest and beauty is also believed to be historically correct.
