The University team succumbed to the Penn State grapplers 15 1-2 to 9 1-2 in Hemenway Saturday night. The Freshman matmen were more fortunate staging a 15 to 6 win over the Spring field College 1930 team in the match which preceded the University bouts.
The Penn State match was closer than the score indicates, since Harvard was forced to default in the 125 pound class, due to the illness of Lieberman, and the lack of a substitute.
The feature of the Freshman meet was the work of Lage, 145 pound grappler, who met Booker in the 175 pound class and defeated the heavier man on a decision. Another Freshman to wrestle out of his weight was Norman, 160 pound man, who grappled in the unlimited class, but lost.
