BUDGET PLEDGES MADE TO STUDENT COUNCIL IGNORED

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Scarcely half of the pledges made to the Student Council Budget which were not paid at registration and were due on November 30 have not been paid, it has been reported by C. H. Pforzheimer '28, chairman of the Budget Committee.

It was also pointed out that on account of this the organizations supported by the fund will be forced to carry on their activities under severe financial embarrassment unless the rate at which the returns are reaching the Budget Committee increases markedly after the vacation.

Of the $12,000 pledged on the subscription blanks given out on registration day, $5000 was collected at that time. Bills for the remainder, which the subscribers promised to pay before December 1, were sent out by the Committee and it is on these that payment is urgently needed.
