BOXING INSTRUCTION TO BE INAUGURATED IN NOVEMBER

Connelly to Take Charge of Classes at Hemenway

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

University boxing instruction will start about November 7, and classes every hour will be held from 2 to 5 o'clock this winter, winding up with a tournament next March.

This will be a recognized Freshman activity and will probably be under the tutelage of Larry Connelly, who successfully coached a team to a victory of 4-3 over M. I. T. in an unofficial meet last April.

The Harvard Athletic Association has refused to recognize boxing as a regular college sport, and it is rather doubtful if any meets will be held; but the tournament, which will be open to everyone in the University, with classes all the way from the 115 pounders to the heavyweight division, should supply plenty of interest and competition to those interested in the art of self-defence.
