B.H. Ticknor '31, of New York City, was chosen to lead this year's Freshman football eleven by a vote of his teammates yesterday afternoon. Ticknor, who plays fullback, has been one of the chief elements in the first year Crimson attack so far this fall. His 195 pounds of weight distributed over 6 feet 3 inches of height give him a powerful line-bucking drive which has been a valuable asset to the Freshmen in tearing open opposing lines this season. Against Andover two weeks ago he showed up particularly well, scoring one of his team touchdowns and proving a great source of defensive strength.
Ticknor prepared at Milton, where he played on the basketball and baseball teams in addition to being one of the outstanding members of the academy eleven. His brother, W.D. Ticknor '30, was one of the strongest men on last year's Freshman team.
