Tomorrow evening the University Debating team will meet Bates College in an exhibition argument at Phillips Exeter Academy. Harvard will uphold the affirmative side of the question, "Resolved: That there is more to be feared than hoped for from science". Last night Leland-Stanford defeated the Crimson on this same subject.
The Crimson will be represented by F. W. Lorinzen '23, C. E. Wyzanski '27, E. M. Rowe '27, and Mark Winkler '27, alternate.
Tomorrow's contest is the first exhibition debate ever attempted at any prepatory school. The affair has been arranged by several Exeter masters, who desire to stimulate an interest in oratory among the students of the academy.
