After a lay-off of over two weeks, the University basketball team will resume its practice this afternoon. Next Friday it will face the strong M. I. T. quintet on the Engineers' floor. M. I. T. is credited with a close victory of 18-17 over the powerful Dartmouth contingent which has since won five successive games in brilliant fashion The first formidable opposition of the season is expected for Coach Wachter's men when they encounter Tech Friday night.

The Crimson lineup will be the same as in the opening contest. Kenneth Dorn '27 and J. D. Leekley '27 will hold down the forward berths. M. M. Green '28 will fill the center position, with Captain J. S. Malick '27 and J. N. Barbee '28 at guards.

The basketball outlook is not as dark as anticipated. A dearth of substitutes is the worst problem Coach Wachter has to solve. The second team to date has shown itself noticeably inferior to the first string combination.
