At a meeting of the tennis squad held yesterday afternoon in the Freshman Gymnasium, 28 men reported for practice. They were addressed by Captain J. F. W. Whitbeck 27, Coach Cowles, and Manager Lyon Boston '26.
Besides the 28 men who reported at the meeting, were 12 members of the University squad, who, for the last few weeks have been practicing at the Longwood Tennis Club. From these men, this spring's team will, in all probability, be picked.
From now can there will be regular practice until vacation time in the Freshman Gymnasium on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. After vacation the squad will play on the Jarvis Field Courts.
As soon as the teams get outside there will be a ladder tournament for the 28 new men which will decide the member skip of the second team. This team will be picked from six of the men who here been practicing at Longwood and the semi-finalists in the ladder tournament.
