Tentative plans for the organization and activities of the recently formed Schoolboy Rowing Association were drawn up at the second meeting of the Executive Committee this week.
Following the decision of the Harvard Athletic Association last January to discontinue the regular schoolboy regatta which has been held annually by the University, Mr. Wiggins, the headmaster of Noble and Greenough School suggested that a rowing association be formed. The new association is sponsored by the Harvard crew management and will hold its regattas at Harvard. The chief difference between the new and old systems is in the responsibility for the success of the regattas. Under the present plan the burden has been shifted to the schools themselves, although the University crew facilities will still be at their disposal on the days of the races.
