1929-MIDDLESEX BALL GAME CALLED OFF-WET GROUNDS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The game which the Freshman baseball team was to have played this afternoon against Middlesex has been called off according to an announcement made last night. The reason given for the cancellation is that the Middlesex diamond was in too soggy a condition because of the recent adverse weather conditions.

The first game of the season, therefore, which Coach Davidson's nine will play, will be on Wednesday against Wentworth Institution on the Soldiers Field diamond. Following this game Huntington School will be opposed a week from today.

Contrary to the usual custom, the Freshman team will not tour Connecticut during the spring recess this season. Members of the squad will, instead, report for practice on Wednesday, April 21, and continue their work until the end of the vacation on the lower diamond across the Charles.
