Muzzey to Speak on Paine

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dr. D. S. Muzzey '97, Professor of History at Columbia, will address the Ethical Society tomorrow at 11 o'clock, at 3 Joy Street, Boston on "Thomas Paine and American Independence."

Dr. Muzzey believes that Paine's name should stand, with Washington's and Lincoln's, on the honor roll of America's heroes. In three books, he prepared the American mind for independence, he encouraged the American army in the winning of independence, and he justified American independence through its beneficent influence upon the world at large.
