In the Graduate Schools

An examination of the work of the graduates of the School of Public Health shows that their small number is not an indication of their service to the health of the world. This was pointed out by Dean D. L. Edsall in his annual report to President Lowell.

Of a total of 102 Fellows from foreign countries who have been at the School of Public Health within the last five years, only three may be considered by the nature of their present employment as essentially lost to the service of public health. The other 99 all have positions of more or less considerable importance, varying from positions in charge of important activities to the duties of local health officer. The majority are in definite charge of important divisions of health work in 27 countries throughout the world. There is also a representative in an important position in the League of Nations.

A record of the activities of 22 students in the United States who have recently been in the School of Public Health is also available. With one exception these are all actively engaged in important public health work at the present time, or are continuing special studies.
