Practice for the University Golf Team will begin immediately after the spring recess, it was learned today. The team will have the Oakley Country Club for practice, and with favorable conditions should be in excellent shape for its matches which begin on May, 21.
Four men who received letters either last year or the year before will be on the team again this year. These are E. S. Stimpson '27, the Captain who is expected to be one of the stars of the coming season. Dwight Barnum '27, and C. E. Bohlen '27, who were on last year's team, and A. R. Parker Jr. ocC., who won his letter the year before.
A number of men who have done well although have not yet won their letters are also expected to show great ability this spring. In the first ranks of these men is Joseph Merrill Jr. '28, while J. A. Hutchinson '28 runs him a close second.
The golf team will hold a meeting in the very near future for all those who wish to try out for the team. There is at present two vacancies on the team and the competition for them should be hotly contested.
