THREE CHAMPIONS RETAIN UNIVERSITY MAT CROWNS

CAPTAIN WOOD FELLS OPPONENT IN FASTEST BOUT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

As a result of the finals of the University wrestling championships held in the Hemenway Gymnasium on Saturday night, three of last year's champions retained their titles.

These were Milton Krooks 1L. in the 115-pound class, K. C. Williams 3L. in the 125-pound class, and H. M. Kullman '27 in the 135-pound class. The other champions are as follows: 145-pound class, H. G. Dorman '26; 158-pound class, H. R. Wood '27; 175-pound class, G. D. Howe '28, and unlimited, S. S. Wilson '28.

Captain Elect Wins by Fall

Defaults in the 115-pound, the 175-pound, and the unlimited classes by all but one entry, account for the fact that there were no final bouts in these classes. The most interesting and exciting bout of the evening was that in which H. R. Wood '27, captain-elect of next year's wrestling team, defeated A. W. Craven 3L. Although the undergraduate wrestler won by a fall in six minutes and 15 seconds, it was only after the hardest kind of a fight. The summary:

115-pound class--Milton Krooks 1L won by default.

125-pound class--K. C. Williams 3L. defeated A. J. Bronstein 1L by decision.

135-pound class--H. M. Kullman '27 won from J. F. Bohn 2L. by decision.

145-pound class--H. G. Dorman '26 defeated W. F. Green '28 by decision.

158-pound class--H. R. Wood '27 took a fall from A. W. Craven 3L.

175-pound class--G. D. Howe '28 won by default.

Unlimited class--S. S. Wilson '28 won by default.
