This evening, at the 15th anniversary banquet, President Lowell will present the shingle and key to each of the 34 new members of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. The ceremony will take place at the Union at 6.30 o'clock, after which the meeting will adjourn to the Faculty Room for the annual winter banquet.

After the dinner the assembly will be addressed by some of the foremost scholars of America. Among them will be Bishop William Lawrence '71, President of the Phi Beta Kappa Society; Professor Irving Babbitt '89; Professor C. R. Post '04; Professor R. DeC. Ward '89, Chairman of the Board of Freshman Advisers, and President Lowell.

Tonight's affair is the most important meeting of the Society during the year. It has been held annually ever since the founding of the Harvard Chapter in 1781, and has called forth many famous speeches on scholarship and education.
