Barbee and Dorn Also Shine in Victory on Hemenway Floor -- Substitutes Play Last Few Minutes

The Harvard basketball quintet defeated Boston University, 43 to 20, in the initial game of the season, on the floor of the Hemenway gymnasium last night.

M. M. Green '28 at center scintillated for the University from the start. He displayed fast, accurate form, and aided by Dorn at right forward dribbled the ball down the floor for six goals, Kenneth Dorn '27 played a consistent game, and J. N. Barbee '28 made some spectacular shots in the second period.

B. U. Starts Well

The first half was fairly even, the score standing at 16 to 12 in Harvard's favor when the whistle blew, Getting away to a fast start in the second period, the University quintet rushed the Terriers off their feet. With the score 37-15, Coach Wachter their sent in his second string players who increased the lead by six points.

O'Brien Does Well

The overwhelming victory came as a surprise as Boston University had shown good forn in its previous games against Brown and Providence. O'Brien was the outstanding player of the Terrier aggregation, scoring four baskets by evasive dribbling and accurate shooting. The University team will play no more games until after Christmas, when it tackles M. I. T. at M. I. T. on January 8. The Clark University and Worcester P. L. follow in short order. HARVARD.  B. U.
