New Captain Takes Field at 1.30 O'clock Against Tabor--Seconds Play at 2.30 O'clock, University at 4 O'clock

Three University soccer teams will play this afternoon. The University squad meets Springfield College in what promises to be a much more difficult encounter than that of last week. The Seconds and the Freshmen will open their seasons, the former against the Clan Lindsay team, and the latter against Tabor Academy.

Crooks Leaves Forward Line

Since last week's 4 to 0 victory over Wesleyan, there has been but one change in the University lineup. K. B. M. Crooks '27 has been moved from the forward line to the left halfback position. His successor in the forward line will not be known until the team comes on the field. N. R. Danielian '28 and Captain W. R. Gherardi '27, each of whom scored two goals in the last encounter, may be expected to present a formidable front to the Springfield team. N. C. Baskell '28 and E. A. Stent '29, both high scorers on their Freshman teams, are also dangerous players.

The Harvard lineup will be as follows: R. H. Thomas '27, g.; J. A. McKinnon '27, r.f.b.; A. F. Parrott '28, l.f.b.; K. B. M. Crooks '28, l.h.b.; Louis Kerness '29, c.h.b.; J. F. Carr '28, r.h.b.; N. C. Haskell '28 or E. A. Stent '29, r.o.f.; N. R. Danielian '28, r.i.f.; W. R. Gherardi '27, c.f.; J. E. Keefe '28 or W. E. Trevette '27, l.i.f.; and L. L. Driggs '28, l.o.f.

Vogel Leads 1930 Against Tabor

W. D. Vogel '30, newly elected first-year captain, will lead his men, for the first time, against Tahor Academy, which last year defeated the 1929 team 2 to 0. This fall the first-year men are playing extremely well for the short time they have been working together. The play, however, will not be very consistent, for Coach Drohan intends to put as many of his men, as he is able, into the game.

The Freshman lineup will be as follows: W. J. Salmon, g.; F. E. Shine, r.f.b.; A. M. Stoylemayer, l.h.b.; Bernard Barnes, r.h.b.; C. H. Parker, c.h.b.; A. M. Booth, l.h.b.; Derk Bodde, r.o.f.; R. F. Dunham, r.i.f.; W. D. Vogel, c.; L. H. Butterfield, l.i.f.; and R. U. Clemens, l.o.f.

All the games will be played on Soldiers Field. The Freshmen will be the first to play at 1.30 o'clock; the Seconds will meet Clan Lindsay an hour later, and the University game will commence at 4 o'clock.
