The Harvard Housing Trust's new buildings providing accommodations for married graduate students have been just completed. The site of the graduate homes occupies a half acre of land facing on Mr. Vernon Street and lying between Sparks Street and Doane Street. The grading and landscaping of the grounds are still in progress but will be completed this fall.
The Housing Trust is an alumni organization conceived in order to relieve the graduate students of an increasingly difficult rooming situation. H. M. Chase '85 is president of the Trust. The other trustees are G. H. Chase '96, dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences; L. C. Cornish '93; T. L. Storer '18; and Elliott Henderson, treasurer.
There are 11 houses, built in a continuous row, containing a total of 43 apartments.
