A powerful Andover soccer team handed a 2-0 defeat to the Freshmen Saturday afternoon. The first-year men were outplayed more completely than the score would indicate. Their team play was ragged, the halfbacks seldom being able to keep the ball out of their own territory so that their forward line might have an opportunity to advance it.

Early in the first half, Captain Sturtevant of Andover kicked a goal from a scrimmage in front of the Harvard net, and for the rest of the period a barrage of shots was poured at Edward Salmon, the Freshman goal-tender. His stellar play prevented Andover from scoring any more in this stanza.
