NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the first time in the history of the University the Freshman class entering college this year will be in charge of two assistant deans instead of one as has been the custom in the past. Assistant Dean E. A. Whitney '17, who was Freshman dean last year, will again be in charge this year, assisted by Elliott Perkins '23, who was prominent in undergraduate affairs and a member of the 150-pound crew while in college. He graduated "cum laude" and prepared for college at Milton Academy. The new plan will make possible more personal contact between the Dean's Office and the incoming class.

In accordance with the policy of former years young men have been appointed to the positions of Head Proctors in the Freshman dormitories. These men, all recently graduated from the University, have been chosen largely because, while undergraduates, they showed some understanding of the extra-curricular problems which are presented to the incoming Freshman.

Kane in Charge of Gore

In charge of Gore Hall will be R. K. Kane '23, First Marshal of his class and former captain of the football team. He was also prominent in crew, and twice rowed against Yale. Later he studies at Oxford, where he rowed on the crew against Cambridge. He prepared for college at St. George's School.

Brooks Potter '24, a graduate of Milton, will be Head Proctor in Standish Hall. He was manager of the hockey team in college, besides being active in other undergraduate activities, and is at present studying in the Law School.

Smith Again Under Seymour

Smith Halls will again be under the charge of J. W. D. Seymour '17, Secretary to the University for Information, who has been interested during and after college in University dramatics. He started on the swimming team while in college. Seymour is a graduate of the De Witt Clinton High School of New York.

C. H. Hollister '25, a Middlesex graduate, will be Head Proctor of Shepherd Hall. He rowed against the Blue in his Junior year and was prominent in his class affairs.

A new recruit to the proctorial ranks is H. T. Dunker '25, who will be in charge of Little Hall this year. Dunker, besides being First Marshal of his class, gained highest athletic and scholastic honors while in college. He received 16 A's and a B, and was First Marshal of the Phi Beta Kappa. In addition he was President of the Student Council, captain of the track team, and a first string guard on the football team for three years.
