DRAMATIC CLUB PLAY TO OPEN ELI COMMENCEMENT

New Haven, Conn., June 10, 1925.--Festivities in observance of Yale's two hundred and twenty-fourth commencement will begin officially on Saturday night with the presentation of a Dramatic Club play. They will continue through the next week, concluding with the Harvard boat race at New London on Friday.

"L'Aiglon", the drama of Edmond Rostand, is the play that has been chosen by the Dramatic Club for presentation on Saturday night. The performance will have nothing to do with the new Yale School of Dramatic Art, headed by Professor Baker, and is being presented by the Yale Dramatic Association unaided. The translation used will be an original one prepared by Basil Davenport, a Yale Junior.

Dr. James Rowland Angell, president of Yale University, will deliver the Baccalaureate sermon on Sunday, June 14. The annual meeting of Yale in China will be the most important event also to be held on Sunday, with the announcement of the Yale men who have been chosen to teach at the Yale school in China next year.

Monday is the College Class Day, when the Seniors will hold their unofficial exercises in Branford Court of the Harkness Memorial Quadrangle. The promenade of the Senior class will take place on Monday evening after the concert of the Instrumental Clubs.

On Tuesday, the election of a member of the Corporation to fill the place made vacant by the resignation of William Howard Taft, will terminate. Already over 8000 votes have been cast. In the afternoon, the reunion classes will parade to the field for the Harvard baseball game.
